Account and billing
Profile and settings
Your profile, appearance, notifications, security and connected accounts.
Your own details live on your Profile. Notifications, billing and your organization live in Settings.
Your profile
Open your name at the bottom of the dashboard sidebar and choose Profile. On a personal account, this opens Account settings in Settings. Change your name and photo there, and manage how you sign in. You can set or change your password, and connect or disconnect Google. Set a password before disconnecting Google, so you can still sign in. Your email address can't be changed.
Appearance
Choose Appearance in the same menu for light, dark or your device's setting. Inside a workspace, you can give that workspace a look of its own, while the others keep yours.
Notifications
Under Settings → Notifications, choose how often orchit emails you (instantly, hourly, daily or never), and which kinds of notification you get in the app and by email. Some, such as being assigned something or mentioned, are always on.
Settings at a glance
Open Settings from the orchit logo at the top of the dashboard sidebar. Everyone has Notifications and Billing & Invoices, and personal accounts also have Account settings (your profile). If you're in an organization, you also see the organization pages your role allows:
| Page | What's there |
|---|---|
| Overview | The organization's name, logo and details. |
| Domain | The organization's email domains. |
| Members | People, their roles and status, and pending invitations. |
| Roles | Built-in and custom organization roles. |
| Tokens Allocation | How AI credits are shared, or your own use of them. |
| Organization Billing | The organization's plan and invoices (owners and admins). |
| Transfer Owner | Handing the organization to someone else (the owner only). |
Your organization
Domain
Adding your company's domain lets people with that email address join, and proves the organization is really yours.
- Choose Add Domain and enter it.
- Choose how to verify it. A DNS TXT record is recommended.
- Add the record at your domain provider, then verify.
- Once it's verified, set it as your primary domain if you have more than one.
Removing a domain asks for your password and an emailed code, and takes effect after 24 hours. You can cancel the removal until then.
Roles
Organization roles decide what people can do across the company, such as create workspaces, manage members or change billing. Super Admin, Admin, Editor and Viewer are built in, and you can create custom roles with exactly the permissions you tick.
Tokens allocation
Your organization's AI credits can be one shared pool, split equally, or given to each person as a budget. Members see how much they've used and what's left.
Transfer ownership
- Open Transfer Owner and choose the new owner. Only verified members can be chosen.
- Type TRANSFER to confirm, and send the invitation.
- They have 72 hours to accept. Once they do, you become an admin.
Delete organization
On Overview, deleting the organization asks for your password, an emailed code and the organization's name. Deletion then completes within 48 hours.
Warning
Deleting an organization removes its workspaces and data for everyone. It can only be cancelled within the first 2 hours, by contacting support.
Create an organization
On a personal account with a work email address, Settings offers to create an organization. You name your company and set up its domain, the same steps as at sign-up.
