Get started
Quickstart
Sign up, let orchit build your first workspace, and invite your team.
This walkthrough takes you from a new account to a workspace your team can use. It takes about ten minutes.
1. Create your account
- Open orchit and choose Get started.
- Continue with Google or Apple, or enter your email address.
- If you used email, enter the five-digit code we send you. If it doesn't arrive, check your junk folder, or resend it once the timer runs out.
- Add your name and a password: at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a special character.
2. Choose personal or organization
The first time you sign in, orchit asks how you'll use it.
- Personal is for your own tasks, notes and planning. Accounts on Gmail, Outlook and other public email providers always start here.
- Organization is for a team or a company. You name your company and confirm its domain, which becomes your organization's own address on orchit. orchit recommends this when you sign up with a work address.
A few quick questions follow, about what you'd like to manage and how you work. Then choose Create Your First Workspace.
Tip
If your company already uses orchit, an account on your work address belongs to it. Ask one of its admins to invite you.
3. Describe your workspace
The fastest way to build a workspace is to describe it.
- Write what you need in the prompt box, or speak it, and attach files if they help. For example: "A workspace for my design agency: client projects, a content calendar, invoices and hiring."
- Answer Orchit AI's few questions. If you'd rather not decide, choose Not sure — go ahead with your best guess.
- Read the plan: what it covers, what it leaves out, and what it assumed. Ask for changes, or choose Build it →.
- Name the workspace and continue.
You can choose Create Manually instead and set everything up yourself.
4. Check the setup and launch
orchit fills in the rest of the setup from your description, so most of it is just checking:
- Details: the name, colour, logo and who the workspace is for.
- Lanes: up to six big outcomes your work serves, such as "Launch". See Labels and lanes.
- Modules and sheets: the parts of the workspace and the lists inside them. See Modules and tabs.
- Team: the teams you need. Add teammates' emails here to invite them.
- Review: decide who gets the starter cards, then choose Complete.
You can skip lanes, modules and team for now and come back to them later.
5. Start working
Your workspace opens ready to use. Good next steps:
- Add your first card. See Cards.
- Ask the workspace's agent for help, for example "Create a launch checklist for next Friday." See Workspace and module agents.
- Invite your team.
- Connect your calendar and email, so everything is in one place.
