AI and agents
Knowledge bases
Give agents your documents, links and files so their answers are grounded in them.
A knowledge base is a collection of documents, web pages, notes and files that agents read from. Give your agents your handbook, product docs or policies, and their answers come from your own information rather than general knowledge.
Find knowledge bases under Knowledge in the workspace sidebar, or on a module's Knowledge Hub tab.
Create a knowledge base
Choose Add Knowledge and give it a name, such as "Product Docs".
Choose what it belongs to (its scope: the workspace, a module, an agent and so on) and who can see it.
Add sources:
Source How Files Drag them in, or browse. Web pages Paste links, sitemaps or whole sites, one per line. Notes Type or paste text. Google Drive Connect Drive and pick the files. orchit only reads the files you pick, and folders stay in sync. Choose Index. orchit reads everything, so agents can search it.
Say how far to trust it
Each knowledge base has a trust level, from "Source of Truth" down to "Unverified". It records how much weight its content deserves. An official handbook is a source of truth; a brainstorm is only a suggestion. Set it honestly.
Connect it to agents
A knowledge base only helps an agent that's linked to it. Pick it in the agent's Knowledge settings (see Create and configure agents), or from the knowledge base's own Agents tab. Then ask, for example, "What's our refund policy for annual plans?"
Keep it current
Open a knowledge base to see its documents, its status and its history. You can approve or reject it, re-index it after changes, fetch web pages again (or schedule that), and archive it once it's out of date.
