Key concepts

Organizations, workspaces, modules, lists, cards and agents: the words you will see everywhere.

orchit uses a handful of words everywhere. Once these make sense, the rest of the product does too.

How it fits together

Your organization holds workspaces. A workspace is split into modules, one for each part of the work. A module keeps its work in lists, and a list holds cards. Every card has a card type, which gives it a form to fill in and a process to move through. Agents work across all of it.

The building blocks

Concept What it is Learn more
Organization Your company on orchit, with its own address, members, roles and one bill. Personal accounts don't need one. Settings
Workspace A home for a project, team, client or business, with its own people, modules and agents. Workspaces
Module One part of a workspace, such as Sales, Hiring or Support. Modules and tabs
Tab A view inside a module: its chat, board, lists, forms, notes, mail, calendar and more. Modules and tabs
List A collection of cards in a module, also called a sheet. Lists
Card One piece of work (a task, a bug) or one entry (a lead, an invoice). Cards
Card type and form A kind of card, and the fields its cards ask for. Card types and forms
Process and status The steps a card moves through. The step it's on is its status. Process and statuses
Lane and label A big outcome work serves, and a quick tag inside a module. Labels and lanes
Plan Milestones, sprints and huddles that schedule cards over time. Plans
Agent An AI teammate that knows part of your work and can act in it. Agents
Knowledge base Documents, files and links agents answer from. Knowledge bases

Tasks and lists of entries

Lists come in two kinds, and it helps to know which you need:

  • A task list holds work people do and finish: bugs, to-dos, campaign steps. It moves across a board, from To Do to Done.
  • A list of entries holds things people keep and fill in: leads, invoices, contracts. Entries have tasks linked to them, and the tasks carry the dates.

Roles and seats

A role decides what someone can open and change: Admin, Editor, Viewer, or Member, who sees only the modules shared with them. A seat is someone's place on a team, and seats are what your plan counts. See People, roles and seats.

Agents and AI credits

Mind is your personal assistant. Peak looks after a whole workspace, and each module can have an agent of its own. AI work is measured in credits, and your plan includes a number of them each period. See Plans, billing and credits.
