Forms and process
Public forms
Collect requests from anyone with a link; every answer becomes a card.
A public form is a page anyone can fill in, with no orchit account. Every response arrives in your list as a new entry. Use one for support requests, job applications, event sign-ups or lead capture.
Create a public form
- On a module's Lists tab, open the list that should receive the responses, and choose Public forms → + New form.
- Give the form a title and, if you like, a message shown above the questions.
- Tick the fields to ask. For each one, you can make it required, reword the question, add help text, and set limits such as an email format or a number range. Ticking a group asks all of its fields.
- Check the preview on the right. You can try submitting it to see which answers would be accepted.
- Choose Create form. The link is copied, ready to share.
Note
Some fields can't be asked publicly, such as people, file uploads, relations and passwords. They're marked "Not asked on public forms".
Share and manage it
Send the link, or put it on your website. People who fill in the form get a thank-you message with a reference, and they can send another response.
Click a form in the Public forms list to see its link and questions, and how many entries it has collected. Turn off Accepting responses to close it: the link then says the form is closed. Deleting a form stops its link working, but the entries it collected stay in your list.
Only people who can edit the list can create public forms.
